Deadweight Service
All classes of prime cattle and sheep are sold through the Market on a deadweight basis to a number of leading abattoir across the country.
The possibilities are endless, including a specialist outlet available for Aberdeen Angus sired cattle, and top prices being achieved for E – U grade butchers heifers (280 – 390kg dwt) at a northern abattoir.
Best fleshed beef cows can also be placed to your advantage and in recent weeks have been selling at very high levels for the best examples.
Cull dairy cows, be it good fleshed types, or lean straight out of the parlour cows can be sold to your benefit.
Over a number of years our experienced Deadweight team have built up a good rapport with numerous abattoirs who supply the major retailers, allowing large numbers of commercial cattle (270 – 450kgs dwt) to be sold each week.
Whatever the type or grade of stock we can achieve its real value. Large or small numbers can be catered for.The deadweight team offer a fieldsman service and can visit your farm to select animals so they can be best placed thus realising their full potential. We organise all the transport and send out weights and grades for your information.
